20.08.07: As a warm up to the Tour of Ireland the recyclingteam.com took part in a local event the Brendan Campbell Memorial in Donore, Ireland. Team manger John Herety said, "Being a young team it is important that we arrive at a major race venue early as possible". "Young riders need to get the travelling out of their legs by riding and ideally racing as soon as possible". The Brendan Campbell memorial proved an ideal opportunity that was too good to miss".

In a good field made up of visitors as well as local riders the young recycling.co.uk rider took a fine victory breaking away near the finish to win alone. He left team mate Chris Newton and former recycling.co.uk rider Kristian House to sprint out for the minor placings. Kristian, last year's overall winner of the Premier Calendar Series, was complimentary in the way the young recycling.co.uk riders handled themselves. Chris the winner of the UK's Premier Calendar Series this year was also pleased with how his young team mate performed. The recycling.co.uk team always enjoy visiting and racing in Ireland and team Manager John Herety has enjoyed many successes in the Emerald Isle.
